Liam Lawlor spent one week in Jail
sentence from, Wednesday the 17th of January, 2001, in Dublin's Mountjoy
Jail for contempt of court for refusing to
co-operate with the Flood Tribunal.
Mr Justice Smyth found Mr Lawlor guilty on Monday, of failing to co-operate with the Flood Tribunal, fined him £10,000 and
sentenced him to three months in prison. He had been given up to 2pm today to
appeal the decision made in the High Court, but allegedly arrived into
Mountjoy before this deadline!
Update Tuesday 31st July, 2001 And
once again Liam Lawlor is on his way to spend 7 days in jail from
Wednesday the 8th, August. Tuesday

Lawlor is to spend his longest term yet in prison - 28 days, starting from
today. He will be allowed attend the hearing in the Dail for its
duration, but will then return to Mountjoy Prison.
